Trip Overview
Wonders of Nepal 8 days is a perfect cultural trip for anyone who wants to experience major attractions of Nepal in a short period of time. The trip takes you to two magnificent cities Kathmandu and Pokhara, an amazing national park at Chitwan and Lumbini, the place where Buddha was born. A comfortable drive along the winding and straight highways along the hills and plains will turn your time in Nepal into an unforgettable adventure.
The trip starts in Kathmandu after your landing. In the city of temple, you will get to see two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath Stupa. You will get to learn about the history and marvel at the ancient and medieval Nepali art and architecture.
The trip then moves to Pokhara, the most beautiful city of Nepal, admired by both domestic and international tourists. It’s a peaceful city, a trekker’s haven, where you can see the mighty Annapurna Himalayas directly from your balcony and rooftop. Here, take a guided tour to Phewa Lake, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Bindhyabasini, Seti River Gorges, and Tibetan Refugee Camp. And the major highlight is to view one of the best sunrises in the world from Sarangkot.
You will then transfer to Lumbini in the plains. It’s the place where Siddhartha Gautam took birth and who later went on to become a Buddha. His teachings formed Buddhism, one of the major religions in the world.
Afterwards, the tour moves to Chitwan. Chitwan National Park is one of the best protected areas in Asia to observe wildlife. You will see a wide variety of plants and animals in the park. The major attractions are one-horned rhino, gharial crocodile, royal bengal tiger and various species of birds and mammals. You’ll have to be incredibly lucky to spot the tiger.
A farewell dinner in a Nepali restaurant will mark the end of your Wonders of Nepal trip. On the last day, you will be dropped off to the airport for your flight departure.
Come and join us in a cultural journey through the heartlands of Nepal.

Day 01
Arrive in Kathmandu and Half-day Guided Sightseeing
Namaste! Welcome to Nepal. Once you are outside the airport terminal, please look for a "Trekking to Nepal" signboard. It will be our airport representative who will be holding it. You'll then be transferred to the hotel in our private tourist vehicle.
Then there will be a half-day guided sightseeing. Our authorized English-speaking city guide will take you to two World Heritage Sites: Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath Stupa.
Kathmandu Durbar Square is a collection of temples, courtyards and palaces which were used by the Malla and Shah kings of the old days. The square was built in the medieval times but has undergone various reconstructions since then. Some of the buildings in the complex sustained damage in the 2015 Nepal Earthquake and are currently being rebuilt. The square is a social and religious point frequented by both old and young inhabitants.
Swoyambhunath Stupa is one of the most important Buddhist sites in Nepal. It is also known as the Monkey Temple because of the abundance of monkeys living in the site. According to the myths, the Kathmandu valley was a lake in the ancient times and a lotus grew on it. Then Manjushri, a Buddhist deity, cut a gorge on one of the surrounding hills and drained the water from the lake. The lotus changed into a hill where the Stupa is today.

Davis Fall is a popular tourist site in Pokhara. The water from Phewa Lake forms this waterfall and passes through Gupteshwor Cave which is the next site to visit. The waterfall got its name after an accident in 1961 when a Swiss woman fell here and died. The Nepali name for the waterfall is Patale Chhango.
Gupteshwor Cave is one of the famous caves of Nepal. The water from Davis Fall passes through this cave. It is also a religious site dedicated to Lord Shiva as well as other Hindu gods. It is said that the locals discovered the cave in the 16th century and found statues of gods.
Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple are the main attractions of Pokhara. Phewa is the most popular lake in all of Nepal drawing both domestic and internal crowds. It's tranquil, large and reflects the mighty Himalayas in its water. There is Barahi Temple on the lake's small island. It's a pagoda temple dedicated to Goddess Durga.
Seti River Gorge is a mysterious gorge carved by the Seti River which passes through Pokhara. It is a perfect place to watch the gushing water of the Seti River and amaze at how the water disappears.

Yes. Our company only covers insurance for our team members. We recommend you buy a travel insurance in your country. Make sure your travel insurance covers adventure activities over a certain altitude (4000 m) and covers emergency medical as well as helicopter rescue and evacuation.
Most importantly, if you are trekking in the mountainous region of Nepal, then you should plan ahead about possible challenges, especially altitude sickness, ill related health issues, accidents, flight delays etc. In such cases, the only possible way out of the mountains is helicopter rescue. So, we recommend you to have a travel insurance policy that covers the helicopter evacuation cost and medical services in hospitals while trekking in Nepal.

Travel Insurance
Having Travel Insurance is compulsory for all clients while traveling with us. The travel insurance must cover weather delays, personal injury, death, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, helicopter rescue, air ambulance, trip cancellations, natural disasters, theft of baggage, loss of gear and equipment etc.
Domestic flight delay/Cancellation
Generally, due to bad weather conditions and poor visibility, flight delays or cancellation are likely to happen in mountain countries/regions. In such a case, we are not liable for any extra expenses or inconveniences. Since the weather of the mountain region is quite unpredictable, we suggest you arrange a minimum of 1 or 2 extra days (especially Everest region treks) so that you won’t miss your International flight. Further, we suggest you bring some extra cash to prepare for unforeseen circumstances.
Changes to your trip and price due to natural disasters, flight delay etc.
In the event of cancellations/changes of the trip due to any unforeseen circumstances like natural disasters, flight delay etc., we will arrange another trip for you of the same price value. Also, you are free to reschedule the trip. While rescheduling the trip of either the same price value or higher value, you need to pay the amount of used services from your previously booked trip. Similarly, if the price increases for the rescheduled departure, you will pay the difference between new prices and old prices.
Most of our trip packages are based on twin-sharing accommodation. Furthermore, a single-room supplement charge will be imposed on the clients who don’t have another tour participant to share accommodation with.
Likewise, we reserve the right to revise pricing rates posted in our marketing material under any circumstances or on the pressure of various external factors like changes in exchange rate, government action, etc. which are far from our control.
Health and Fitness
You should be physically and mentally fit when trekking in high altitude regions. Therefore, we suggest you undergo a medical examination with a general practitioner (GP) regarding your health and fitness before traveling with us. If you have any preexisting medical conditions or disabilities, please notify us at the time of booking.
Children
A legal guardian/parent must accompany the participant below the age of sixteen.

What makes this trip different ?
Trekking to Nepal is an online booking platform of Ace the Himalaya. Ace the Himalaya works closely with and is one of the main supporters of non-profit organization Sambhav Nepal.
Ace the Himalaya covers the administration cost of Sambhav Nepal as the staff working at Ace also help in admin work of Shambav Nepal. For instance: making proposals, collecting information for the related projects, visiting the project sites, coordinating the local governments/authorities etc. That’s why, Sambhav Nepal doesn't have their admin cost in the project it runs.
Furthermore, Sambhav Nepal provides support to people with needs such as education and health in villages of Gorkha through the children sponsorship program. We sponsor children for school which are conducted successfully in full collaboration with Ace the Himalaya and its sister organizations, Ace Holidays and Ace Xpeditions.
